Ride for Health. Ride for Our Community.

Event: Community Ride for Health
Candidate: Anita Roy for City Councillor, St. Norbert - Seine River
Focus: Active Living, Cycling Safety, Community Health & Wellbeing

"Building a healthier, safer, more active city-together!"

There's no better way to connect with our community than on two wheels! I recently joined neighbours and friends for a wonderful Ride for Health, pedalling through our beautiful neighbourhoods and sharing conversations about what it takes to make Winnipeg a healthier, safer and more active city for everyone.

Why Active Transportation Matters

A city that rides is a city that thrives. Community bike rides like this one remind us that cycling is about so much more than recreation-it's about:

  • Safer Streets: Advocating for better bike paths, protected lanes, and well-maintained trails so families can ride with confidence.
  • Healthier Residents: Encouraging active lifestyles that improve physical and mental wellbeing for all ages.
  • Greener Neighbourhoods: Reducing traffic and emissions while making our communities more livable and connected.
  • Stronger Community: Bringing neighbours together, one ride at a time.

My Commitment to an Active St. Norbert - Seine River

As your City Councillor, I will champion active transportation and community wellbeing at City Hall-investing in our pathways, improving road and trail safety and supporting community events that get our residents moving and connecting. Because when we ride together, we build together.

Thank You to Every Rider!

To everyone who pedalled alongside me, shared their ideas at the rest stops, and cheered from the sidewalk-thank you! Your energy and spirit are what make St. Norbert - Seine River such a vibrant place to call home.

Let's keep rolling toward a healthier, safer, more active Winnipeg-together!
