What Matters Most: A Little Family Time on the Campaign Trail
Location: Home & Heart of St. Norbert - Seine River
Candidate: Anita Roy for City Councillor
Focus: Family Values, Authenticity, Community Connection
"In busy campaigning time, some time with them… "
Running for City Council is an incredible journey filled with door-knocking, community meetings, and late-night planning. But amidst the hustle and bustle of the campaign trail, it is so important to pause and reconnect with the people who ground me and keep me going: my family and loved ones.
Why Family Values Drive My Campaign
Taking a moment to share a laugh, a meal or just a quiet moment with family isn't just a break from campaigning-it’s the very reason I am campaigning.
When I spend time with my loved ones, I am reminded of what every family in St. Norbert - Seine River is working toward: a safe, vibrant, and supportive community where we can put down roots, make memories and watch our children and grandchildren thrive. My desire to build a better Winnipeg is deeply rooted in my love for my own family, and my desire to protect the future of yours.
Leading with Heart
Voters often ask me what keeps me motivated during the long hours of an election. The answer is always the same: the people I love, and the community I want to leave for the next generation. A good City Councillor must understand the joys, the busy schedules, and the everyday realities of local families, because those are the exact issues that need to be championed at City Hall.
To my family-thank you for your endless patience, love, and support during this busy season. And to the families of St. Norbert - Seine River-thank you for welcoming me into your lives and sharing your own beautiful stories with me.
Together, let’s build a city that supports, celebrates and protects our families.
